Desktop Business Edition provides the Virtual Screen to let you to create virtual desktops to limit users to only use the programs you specified.

Desktop Lock Business Edition is the enhanced version of Desktop Lock. A new lock mode "Lock keyboard and mouse only, don't freeze screen" allows you to leave any video or Macromedia Flash or PowerPoint file playing on the screen during locking. The "Virtual Screen" tool helps you to create virtual desktops. The virtual screen will list only the programs you specified on its desktops, and only allow users to use the listed programs.

Desktop Lock is a computer security protection and access control product, you can use it to lock computer to prevent people from accessing your private documents and resources. After your computer was locked by Desktop Lock, none can access your documents, browse your computer, or use programs on your computer.

Desktop Lock Business Edition provides the Virtual Screen tool. Virtual Screen tool can be used to create virtual desktops and list special programs on the virtual desktops, then users will only be allowed to use the listed programs on the virtual desktops.

Virtual Screen supports multiple virtual desktops. You use Virtual Screen to create one or more virtual desktops, a virtual desktop is similar to the real desktop, contains the programs you specified, a taskbar and a start menu. Users can only use the programs listed on the virtual desktop.

If you want users to use only the programs you specified, do not want them to play games, browse internet etc, then Virtual Screen will help you.

Virtual Screen supports multiple profiles, so you can create as many virtual desktops as you want. One profile contains the settings for a virtual desktop, and the special programs on the virtual desktop.

Virtual Screen will automatically enable the Windows XP visual style on its virtual desktop if the style is enabled.

A program listed on the virtual desktop can be a program, also can be a document file, or a program with parameters.

New Lock Mode

A new lock mode is enabled in Business Edition: "Lock keyboard and mouse only, don't freeze the screen".

Normally Desktop Lock will freeze the screen during the system being locked. By using this new lock mode, you lock the computer then none can use your computer, but the contents of the screen will still be shown. You can play flash or PowerPoint files or any other program/media then lock the system, the result of the program/file will be shown to users. It is useful to users who want to lock the computer, but still need to see the result of the programs or the Flash/PowerPoint files.
